The Toniq-R pre-production prototype, designed and built by four students at the University of Huddersfield, doesn’t actually have an engine mounted within its space frame chassis. But if it did, we designers would like to think that the final specification for the road legal Toniq-R would be similar to this:

PERFORMANCE: 0 – 60mph in 3.5 seconds; 140+ mph
PRICE: £4,000 in basic kit form; £16,000 factory built (student discounts available)
(Designers’ note : the production car would include rear view mirrors, cycle wing type mud guards and a small F1-style wind deflector mounted on the bulkhead.)
